What is Mental Wellness


Mental wellness is viewed as a positive attribute and emotional well-being that an individual can cope and live life positively. This is increasingly important in view of the fast-paced environment we live in.

The following are common types of mental disorders which are signs that mental well-being is at risk:

Anxiety Disorder -

Respond to specific objects or situations with feelings of fear or increased heart rate or perspirations.


Mood Disorders -

Persistent feelings of extreme happiness or sadness that fluctuates uncontrollably.


Psycholic Disorde -

Distorted awareness, thinking or hearing "voices"


Eating Disorder -

Involves extreme attitudes or habits involving food and extreme weight loss over a short period of time.


Addiction Disorder -

Inability to resist urges to certain activities, for example, gamblings, starting fires, stealing or cutting oneself


Personality Disorder -

Having extreme inconsistently personality traits that stresses the person or people around


Tic Disorder -

Repeatedly create sounds, display of some movement quickly, suddendly or uncontrollably.
